Come Help Us Explore Fairy Tales in 'Fairy Tale Theatre'
This is the perfect class for those who are just starting out in the theatre, and for those who have already taken classes. For ages 5 through 8, our second round of classes start Monday, March 29 through May 3rd (all classes on Mondays from 4:30-5:50 pm). Tuition is $75.
Once Upon a Mattress
If you thought you knew the story of "The Princess and The Pea," you may be in for a walloping surprise! Once Upon a Mattress, the Tony award-nominated Broadway Musical starred Carol Burnett as Princess Winnifred, with Sarah Jessica Parker doing the role in the recent revival, may change your mind.
Did you know, for instance, that Princess Winnifred actually swam the moat to reach Prince Dauntless the Drab? Or that, in fact, it wasn't the pea at all that caused the princess a sleepless night?
Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some side-splitting shenanigans. Chances are you'll never look at fairy tales quite the same way again.

Classes run from March 20th to May 15th on Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m with performances from May 20-29th. For ages 8-18. Price: $275

Begged, Borrowed, and Stolen Presents 'Orphans'
The play will run at The Haymarket Theatre, 803 Q Street on March 18-19, 25-27, April 1-3 at 7:30 p.m.; March 20 at 10:30 p.m.; and March 21 & 28 at 2:00 p.m.
Orphans tells the dramatic story of two orphaned brothers living in a Philadelphia row house, fending for themselves until they are adults at the beginning of the play. There lives are changed irrevocably when a stranger comes home with the older brother one night.
Orphans won the OBIE award in 1985 and was one of the plays made famous by the legendary Chicago Steppenwolf Theatre.
Tickets can be bought by calling 477-2600. Tickets are $18 General, $15 for seniors, and $10 for students.

The Haymarket Theatre Presents 'Path to My Passion'
The Bossa Nova movement also touched many American greats such as Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughan, Tony Bennett who all recorded the Bossa Nova classics. Sergio leads this duo with his clear, smooth voice and unique cadenced acoustic guitar while Tony bridges Bossa Nova with Jazz to make for a “cool jazz” evening. The melodic, dissonant chords and rhythm of Bossa Nova which permeates the air of lounge bars throughout the world today.
The show will be performed Saturday, March 20th at the Haymarket Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. For more information on Sergio Augusto, click here.
